The Story

The project addresses one of the most resource-intensive yet underestimated challenges of the fashion industry: baby clothing, which is typically worn only for a few weeks before being discarded. Rapid growth cycles, seasonal changes and convenience driven consumption lead to excessive production, waste and unnecessary environmental impact.

The solution introduces a circular sharing model that replaces ownership with access. Through a subscription-based system, baby clothing is continuously circulated between families, ensuring that each garment is worn by as many children as possible. Size-appropriate, seasonal clothing is delivered, returned, professionally processed and reintroduced into use, drastically extending product lifecycles and reducing the need for new production. In parallel, a structured preLoved cycle enables parents to return outgrown garments. These items are carefully refurbished and resold at second-hand prices, while families receive credits to support future needs. Materials that no longer meet quality standards are upcycled or responsibly redistributed, preventing textile waste. By combining convenience, quality and environmental responsibility, the project lowers barriers to sustainable consumption for families during an intensive life phase. It demonstrates how circular economy principles can be seamlessly integrated into everyday routines, reducing emissions, conserving resources and fostering a culture of conscious consumption from day one.

Success Factor | Hero Moment

The initial success of the project was validated through its first customers, proving that parents are willing to adopt a sharingbased model for baby clothing. The real turning point, however, came with the founders’ own transition into parenthood. Experiencing the service first-hand with their daughter revealed valuable insights into convenience, timing and needs, enabling the model to be refined into a solution that truly fits everyday family life.
