The Story

Lower Austria is implementing a whole bundle of measures to accelerate the digital transformation of the regional economy and to support businesses making changes. The lighthouse project is the “House of Digitalisation”, which is being implemented by ecoplus Digital in a three-stage development process.
The three steps at a glance:

• The network: An intelligent digital network was established in 2018. This living network is the engine of the project.
• The virtual house: In 2019, the virtual house of digitalisation was set up as the cross-sector information hub of the project.
• The real house: The real house of digitalisation is the final piece of the puzzle in this process and the heart of the overall project. The House was opened in 2023.

Success Factor | Hero Moment

A great moment of success for the project was the nomination as one of the five best projects at European level at the RegioStars 2020 in the category “Industrial Transition for a smart Europe”.

Successful moments are when the team can show small and medium-sized enterprises a way to a successful future with digital tools in the fields of environment, health, social affairs and economy.
