Nature Is Nonpartisan
Non-partisan politcs for our environment
Project Dates
Start: 2025
The Story
Many of us love hiking, fishing, skiing, hunting, or simply enjoying the outdoors. But equally a lot of people hate the current state of environmental politics. The partisan back-and-forth, in this particular case in the United States, has created extreme policies and extreme stagnation that has left communities behind. And the environment continues to suffer as a result.
Nature—one of the few things that connects us all—deserves better.
Nature Is Nonpartisan was born from that frustration. The organisation is reviving America’s nonpartisan environmental legacy. Building a movement that taps into a shared desire for a healthy environment. And working towards solutions that benefit Americans—across all populations and political perspectives.
Nature Is Nonpartisan stands alone in seeking a 1:1 political ratio in everything they do, ensuring representation from all communities across the United States. And they will highlight success stories on the progress being made in communities all across America. They do not seek total agreement, but do seek solutions that account for all Americans.
Together, they want to create an environmental movement that works for all Americans—and for nature.
Success Factor | Hero Moment
Nature Is Nonpartisan’s coalition-driven structure converts consensus into concrete policy change. In 2025, the organisation is focusing on four key issue areas that require meaningful, nonpartisan action to create real-world impact: restoring forests to prevent wildfires, increasing Western water resources, ensuring coastal disaster resilience, and bolstering stewardship of their land.
Their focus in 2025 is to secure meaningful wins for each of these priorities, while still seeking opportunities for nonpartisan progress in other issue areas. To make it happen, they are launching an easy-to-use advocacy hub.
