Fiona Donovan

Vice-President of Response Administration

World Central Kitchen

WCK’s Relief Team is often first to the frontlines, jumping into action after a crisis to support families with a comforting meal. As the Vice President of Response Administration, Fiona oversees the global relief teams that respond to communities in crises, ensuring the rapid production and delivery of essential meals to people impacted by disasters.

One of the most meaningful responses Fiona experienced was in Matamoros, Mexico, at the southern U.S. border, where WCK served meals each evening to the residents of a makeshift encampment. The meals provided a lifeline to asylum seekers in search of a better life, offering nourishment and dignity in a place where food options were scarce. This experience left an indelible mark on Fiona and inspired her to commit to this crucial work at WCK. She first learned about WCK’s innovative disaster response model while getting her master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management at Georgetown University, and prior to WCK, Fiona worked in international development within the education sector and was a teacher in the Peace Corps.
