This March, the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative is shining a spotlight on women driving climate action around the world.

Throughout the month, we are sharing one story each day — 31 women across 31 days — whose work is shaping how we understand, communicate, and respond to the climate crisis. From activists and scientists to artists, lawyers, storytellers, and community leaders, these women represent the many ways leadership in climate can look.

The goal of this initiative is simple: to flood our audience’s social media feeds with women leading change.

Too often, the climate conversation focuses on problems without highlighting the people working tirelessly to solve them. By amplifying these voices, we hope to celebrate the diverse forms of climate leadership that exist today — and inspire others to take action in their own communities.

The women featured in this series are working across disciplines and continents. Some are fighting climate change through the courts, using the law to hold governments and corporations accountable. Others are reshaping how we communicate about climate, making complex science accessible and engaging for wider audiences. Many are leading movements on the ground, defending ecosystems, strengthening communities, and advocating for justice for those most affected by environmental change.

What connects them all is a shared commitment to protecting our planet and building a future that is safer, healthier, and more resilient.

Throughout March, you will hear directly from these women — through interviews, videos, and personal reflections — about what motivates them, the challenges they face, and the change they hope to see in the world.

Their stories remind us that climate action is not driven by a single field, profession, or solution. It is driven by people — by courage, creativity, persistence, and collaboration.

At the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative, we believe that solutions exist and that progress is possible when people unite in action. By highlighting these voices, we hope to inspire more people to see themselves as part of the solution.

We invite you to follow along throughout the month as we celebrate women leading climate action around the globe.
